I was very excited to be asked to A Most Curious Wedding Fair in London.  Most Curious and it’s handpicked exhibitors draw inspiration from the lifestyle trends around them, your lifestyle trends, not weddings trends, weddings shouldn’t have trends, they should be about you having fun and being creative, dreaming big and most importantly an expression and celebration of who you are as a couple. The fair aims to encapsulate that with it’s mix of innovative, design-led suppliers, fashion shows, entertainment, styling, activities, music and performance. The things you can’t quite put your finger on but you know you want it on your day? This is the place to find it. Hackney Downs Studios was a cool venue space for their Spring Summer 2014 show and it was great to meet with so many brides there.  With over 90 stalls it was a packed show and I only had a few brief chances for photos, and didnt get around to photograph all the stands. I did squeeze in two little photoshoots with Oilhana who modeled for Sammantha Walden & Federica Bruno and The Faun in the Lemonade and Laughing gas caravan. Which is basically an uber loved cool caravan, the newest addition to the L&LG family, available to hire.  What fun. I met lots of brides and felt the selection of stalls and the organisation were both excellent. The two fashion shows were packed out, as I was right by the catwalk there was a sea of heads of brides all ready for insiration from what was on offer.  Well done to Ruby, Sarah and Cat for a brilliant event.  Have a look at teh amazing video at the end for a terrific slice of what was there!

Watch the film at the end for two AMAZING catwalks, hosted by the adorable Faun.

I loved these two cakes, 'The Black Pearl' and 'Silver Birch' by Cake me Baby and the little love biscuits

Excellent Showmen, The Faun and Apollo helped the party go with a swing!

Crown and Glory & Rock and Roll Bride for cute-as a button animal ears, loud and proud floral crowns and sparkly

The lovely Victoria from Nia Rose Photography

Really loved the little meringue 'kisses' which look like pretty little figs around this amazing cake by Fondant Fox who has teamed up with The Meringue Girls to provide these fabulous new alternative sensation!

My neighbouring stand was the lovely Emma from Emma Mills Florist and Stylist, her flowers are exquisite, we had alot of fun together.

My stand and some of the bits on display Sharon Cooper Photography

My Viewmasters add on with your own Wedding photos in, proved a real hit.

The Victorian Lectern I upcycled was the erfect height for couples to browse through one of my many beautiful albums.

The Lemonade and Laughing gas caravan, was just too adorable, we all loved

And a little shoot with Oilhana wearing a beautiful delicate and 'oh so daring' gown by Federica Bruno, and a History inspired headpiece by the talented Sammantha Walden from her exquisite collection.

You have to watch this fabulous Film by Zyrah Films to really get a flavour for the day.

I loved being part of this London Wedding fair and would highly recommend it as a great event to hang out at, be inspired and generally get into the Wedding mode. If you missed it and like what you see here, check out the exhibitors directory and keep an eye out for future events. Massive thanks to Sara, Cat & Becky, the team behind the event.

I took Esther to a private lake for some portrait shots, the late afternoon light was bright yet beautiful, there were swans, Spring blossom and bokeh. The owner created some interesting blue smoke for us when she strimmed some undergrowth. After being very brave and thinking I'd avoided it I got attacked by a goose. Here are some of my favourite frames.

What a wonderful fun and loving family, I dont need to write anything, just that we went to the amazing and beautiful Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire for a morning of fun. We played games and despite the girls being young ladies, there was a childlike lighthearted feel to the interactions between them. The Chapel was beautiful...such sweet light in there, and a bit of welcome change in light to the very bright and welcome Spring sunshine!

I had a superb time, this a selection of the images taken, please get in touch if you'd like your family spirit captured, what would we do? Leave me your answer in the comments?

Katy sings. So do lots of her friends, an amazing party that her Nana made her promise she would have to celebrate happiness at being 40. I had a blast! So did everyone!

Katy chose Rock Idol - Earcandy, Rock idol is the UK's finest Rockaoke / Karaoke band available for hire, it was a bit like singing in your VERY own rock band. Yep everyone who took part was a rockstar. It was immense

I loved taking photos at the party, such a friendly crowd. Thank you for booking me, I hope my photos bring back the night for you all.
