Charli and James had been guests at a wedding I photographed a year ago. They asked to meet to discuss their own wedding photos, they said they'd already made their minds up I was the photographer for them. Working with couples to get exactly what they want for their wedding photos (and more) really makes me happy. The couple already have a little family of three, and we snatched some precious time away a few months before their wedding.  Our fabulous pre-wedding shoot at The Swiss Gardens was lots of fun. I found out then that Charli's favourite colour is bright peacock blue, I just knew it would feature in their wedding. Their children were page boys and bridesmaid and brought the whole ceremony to tears when they did a reading each.  So much love and fun in the day, with a really great bonded family. I'll let this blog post tell the rest through a selection of photos.

Charli and James had made all their guest Skittles Vodka as a gift, little coloured bottles and skittles were everywhere...so it made perfect sense for us to "Chase the Rainbow" and have some fun with some Skittles in our photographs too.

As well as being up for every photo opportunity and suggestion, Charli and James had been dead set on me doing some light painting with them, once darkness fell at Ware Priory.  They had seen me do this at their freinds wedding and James and Charli, keen games players and big kids at heart, had a colour changing light sabre that they asked me to use.  This couple just enjoyed being photographed all day. It was an absolute pleasure.

I'd love to thank Charli and James for asking me to be their photographer, it was fabulous getting to know you and to have such fun taking your wedding photographs. I really hope this small selection and all the rest bring back the fun and wonderful day that it was.

Tamara and Lawrence were married at beautiful Kelmarsh Hall. Their day was filled with sunshine, love and smiles. With 7 bridesmaids, 7 groomsmen and so many family and friends all happy to share their day and ensure it was fittingly celebrated, it was always going to be a great day.  I'd had such a lovely visit here with them during their engagement shoot, I couldn't wait to capture their wedding. Ellie and Ben's London wedding, was a truly happy touching affair. I'd had such alot of fun on their pre wedding shoot at Kew Gardens, I just knew they would be smiling all day and happy to be married.  They chose a London pub they go to together - The Drayton Court is near Ealing Studios and as such it is filled with lots of film memorabillia. The function rooms looked amazing, Ellie's friends had all been busy making the decorations and with amazing lights by Ben it really was a great venue with a delightful party feel.

The cake was a playful poke at the difference in height between bride and groom, with Playmobil figures as cake toppers.

With Ben's background in the music business, the album covers of favourite bands for table names, reads like a list of bands to go and check out!

I met up with Chloe and Mick a few times before their big day at Hitchin Priory. Each meeting left me a little bit more excited about being the one to capture their Wedding. They are a fun couple, so warm and friendly, I just couldnt wait for their wedding.  The rain didn't curb Chloe and Mick's excitement wanting their bride and groom portraits in the fabulous grounds, and with some colourful umbrellas we had quite a giggle. Chloe especially seemed to enjoy posing with the prop! I felt truly honoured to be part of their day. Massive thanks to all the family who made me feel so special! The speeches were amazing, so much love and friendship from all who spoke. As ever, this part made me a little emotional, when real feelings, tenderness and wit are shared! The rooms and grounds at Hitchin priory are so varied, it was great to have time with the bride and groom to explore.

There was much enjoyment and laughter during the group shots.

Mick's best man, Ash, did a totally fantastic job. Brilliant speech and you could see the great freindship between everyone.

This is a gorgeous little part of the Priory, a balcony off the lounge, with an amazing beamed vaulted ceiling. 

The venue looks amazing at night....I hadnt realised 'The Plough' was right overhead!

Linda and Ken were married at Coltsfoot Retreat in Datchworth. The intimate setting was packed with family and friends happy to share this special day.  The venue looked amazing, filled with the most fragrant flowers inside and out. The touching ceremony, and speeches were very moving - I was truly honoured to be chosen to capture their wedding day. The food was incredible, so delicious and all the staff worked hard to make the day run so perfectly. I wish the couple every happiness.

Linda chose the most exquisite bouquet of Lily of the Valley, the smell was just heavenly and filled the room.

We dodged a few showers during the day, but it was great to get outside and enjoy the beautiful open views the venue has.  Especially when we were rewarded with a rainbow!!

I had the pleasure of taking some bridal photos at one of my favourite restaurants in my town recently. A fellow photographer, Ben Sherreard had organised a shoot and asked me along.  It's a great place to dine and the setting for parties and weddings is perfect. I'd taken party photos for artist Sarah Graham a while back, so it was lovely to return with my camera and get a few romantic frames. I really enjoyed the light and the colours in the decor made a perfect backdrop.  The boudoir room is full of light with gorgeous touches that make it perfect. Dani and Sarah, you were great to work with.

I had the massive pleasure of being Jessica and Sam's photographer, they really are such a lovely calm couple, they had an amazing day.  It started at St Peter's Church Burnham, Berkshire with a delightful wedding ceremony. The sky was just so blue everyone was so very happy.  A very calm Jess arrived by a white London cab, to marry her groom.

Bathed in sunshine, we headed off to nearby Cliveden house, an absoutely amazing venue, a National Trust property with the most extensive and beautifully kept grounds, which we enjoyed exploring on our pre-wedding shoot.

The light was just perfect, Sam and Jess loved this fountain at the entrance to the grounds, so we stopped for a few photos en route to Cliveden house.

Top of every bride's wish list must be great weather on their special day.   The sun shone, the gardens looked beautiful, and everyone seemed overjoyed!  It really was a perfect day for the perfect wedding. Nic and Alan were married at South Farm, it's immaculate, enchanting and romantic, you can see just why they in love with this amazing Wedding venue. The couple had picked lavender from Hitchin Lavender farm, which they used on the tables.  The flowers were stunning, echoeing the lavender tones. A beautiful nature theme teamed with this glorious setting set the whole day alight. 

Nic was such a fun bride to photograph, here she announced "I just want to run in my wedding dress"

Each table had a wooden framed montage of each guest on that table!

A friend had hand drawn a beautiful tree and guests were invited to leave a 'leaf' thumb print, to join the two little 'bride and groom' birds.

Alan and Nic made a beautiful wooden base for their table plan.

It was such a pleasure to photograph this wedding, massive thanks to all the great staff at South Farm, and all the family and friends who made the day such fun to record. I'd suggested some light painting in the evening, working with the nature theme, and as Alan is a tree Surgeon - I decided to get the groom's friends to help 'light paint' some trees.  This was a real fun part of the photos, and big thanks to them for their effort and enthusiasm!!
