Whimsical oranges a willow archway - York Wedding

Helen and Ant's Wedding was held in York, recently. My day began when I met with the groom and his groomsmen at York Minster. Ant strode over looking fantastic he wore a beautiful fitted brown suit, orange tie and orange rose buttonhole. His father's cream tie pin and cufflinks added authentic and exquisite detail.  We enjoyed a drink and chat in the courtyard of the Guy Fawkes Inn.  I was happy to capture pre wedding shots of the men, always fun and a little different, as Im normally with the bride at this time! The best man had an uncanny resemblance to a large painting of Guy Fawkes on the courtyard wall! Buttonholes all ready, we walked to York Registry office. Whilst the guests milled about, I went and found Helen with her dad. Helen chose a beautiful embellished cream lacy dress, with vibrant orange roses and rosehips. Their smiles during the day said it all, a couple so happy to be husband and wife and share the day with all their special people. The reception was in Church Fenton ,  in a beautifuly decorated marquee by Posh Frocks and Wellies, set in an amazing location, there were orange sunflowers in cream jugs and jam jars with nightlights. In the grounds was a willow arch and an enclosed hedge area (like a maze but without the maze)  I really enjoyed  photographing the happy couple and their guests. A few of the couples friends really looked after me, getting me drink and (delicious) food during the brief breaks I took.  I just love the happiness and joy that speaks through all the images I took. Such a delight.  I want to wish them every happiness for their married life together, and am delighted they chose me to capture their day.
